We focus on teaching design thinking in 3 different ways. The first is through robotics. We use the Thymio robot which gets kids working in teams collaboratively working in teams and creating working prototypes. The second is through the 7th and 8th grade elective, Maker's lab, which involves 3-d printing and design. The 3rd is through the 8th grade Capstone project which involves a global study of a human rights issue and then an action piece to create a positive impact.Posted on November 5, 2013.
