West Michigan Center for Arts and Technology Teen Arts + Tech Program

West Michigan Center for Arts and Technology (WMCAT) provides an after school program for urban high school students that is based in design thinking and civic engagement. Teens participate on one of 12 design teams in the areas of photography, fashion, illustration, video game design, video production, graphic design, and app design. Each design team meets two-days-a-week for the entire school year, guided by a professional teaching artist and partnering with a local community organization to address social justice issues using design thinking principles, arts and technology.
