The Webb Schools

The Webb Schools is a college preparatory day and boarding school for grades 9-12 in Claremont, CA, right down the street from The Claremont Colleges. Our mission is provide an exemplary learning community that nurtures and inspires boys and girls to become men and women who think boldly, mindfully, and creatively; act with honor and moral courage; lead with distinction; and serve with a generous spirit. As part of this mission, we have integrated design thinking into our academic program in multiple ways. Our Entrepreneurship class and robotics team are the most vigorous users of design thinking, but it is also a practice introduced more broadly in our curriculum and our school life. For example, we used Ideo's method in our recent redesign of the next generation classroom. In addition, our summer Global Leadership Program for grades 9-12 and Junior Scholars Program for grades 7-8 integrate design thinking as core.
