Stanford University REDlab

REDlab’s mission is to conduct research to inform our understanding of design thinking in K12, undergraduate, and graduate school settings. REDlab has a National Science Foundation grant to study the intersection of design thinking, STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) learning, and mentorship in middle schools. As part of the grant, a course called Educating Young STEM Thinkers has been developed by the Stanford Graduate School of Education. In it, Stanford students work with middle-schoolers in an after-school program at East Palo Alto Phoenix Academy.
