Our Service learning Programme is designed to enable the young to be socially responsible citizens by contributing meaningfully to the community. This is achieved through the simple 4-step Feel-Imagine-Do-Share design thinking process to enable the young to understand situations empathically, imagine solutions and put them into action. The various stages include: • identifying a social issues [Feel] • understanding the challenges and realities of the people involved [Feel] • exploring ways to creatively solve the complex societal problem [Imagine] • advocating or taking meaningful action to make a sustainable social impact [Do] We have applied design thinking through the Service Learning Programme in schools over the years, enabling the young to create solutions to various social issues in Singapore.
