Portland Lutheran School

Our entire high school took part in a three-week winter term design thinking challenge. Students were challenged to design services that would positively impact our school's neighborhood (the poorest in Portland, Oregon) for the long term. Students were taught design thinking throughout each stage of the process and professionals who utilize design thinking presented almost every day of the term. We are currently planning for next winter's design challenge, and looking to implement a summer program for neighborhood students while also running a professional development piece for educators.
