We are in the first year of having the International Baccalaureate Middle Year's Program (MYP)'s Design at our school. All of our 7th, 8th, and 9th grade students are taking a design course. The design courses are creating units that integrate with other content areas. For example, the first unit for 7th grade is working with science teachers. The first unit for 8th and 9th is working with theater. With 3 levels of design in MYP this may begin at 6th grade next year and will culminate with a Personal Project for 10 graders.
